Biography Text: Dr. Wada is a diplomate of American Board of Periodontology, practicing in Tokyo, Japan. He is a former Associate Professor and Chair and Director of Graduate Program in Periodontology and Oral Implantology at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. He earned his DDS and Ph.D in Medical Science in Japan, followed by the Doctor of Medical Science and Certificate in Periodontology from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2008. After Harvard, he started academic career at University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he taught Postgraduate students and continued his research on Tissue Engineering. At the Temple, Dr. Wada was profiled by the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation as one of 25 past award recipients whose research is shaping the future of the periodontal specialty. Dr. Wada serves as an Editorial Consultant for the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry (IJPRD) and an Editorial Board for the Clinical Advances in Periodontics (CAP) from American Academy of Periodontology. He currently teaches part time at Hiroshima University and Tokyo Medical and Dental University as an adjunct Faculty and maintains private practice as a periodontist in Tokyo.
