Description

While implant treatment has generally proven to be highly successful, failed implants can be challenging for patients and clinicians. The failure of short interdental spans or that of full arch treatment of the maxilla and mandible - each pose unique challenges and require different modalities of treatment. This session will focus on the restoration of these patients’ following loss of implants. This course meets the Dental Board of California’s requirements for 1.5 units of continuing education.

• Identify the interdisciplinary challenges associated with failed implants in the esthetic zone and evaluate the critical role of periodontics in the management and rehabilitation of these cases.
• Discuss the staging and sequencing of hard- and soft-tissue reconstruction techniques for the successful treatment of failed implant sites.
